I agree with Terrence that it had the best final episode ever, again on multiple levels. <br /><br />What the creators were able to do was to make one root for such a character. In Season 4 (I think), when Forrest Whitaker comes in from IAD to bring Vic down, everyone roots for Vic. It's amazing.
